A House Full of Inspiration

A House Full of Inspiration

Before I ever wrote this blog…..I was a blog reader.

Every morning.

I would sip a cup of cinnamon coffee with hazelnut creamer and read……and dream.

This was a world filled with pages and pages of chevron rugs and burlap and locker baskets and down pillows with the number seven and bingo cards and nailhead trim.

It was perfection.

It was amazing.

Full of endless creativity and a world of possibilities.

I read so many blogs….more than I could ever count.

But one was my favorite.

The best of the best.

One I admired from afar.

Melaine from My Sweet Savannah.

She didn’t know that I was her BFF.

She never even heard of me.

She had no idea who I was.

But I was her biggest cheerleader….her biggest fan.

KITCHEN BEFORE FLOORS WERE STAINED AND BEFORE CABINETS PAINTED

I loved her kitchen before.

Doesn’t it look amazing.

Don’t you love those words around the skylight.

And this was before.

Before she stained her floors dark and painted her cabinets.

Before it looked even more amazing.

I cheered her on silently ever step of the way.

She was fearless.

She was my hero.

She was always painting numbers or letters on fabric or walls or baskets or linen…..way before Pinterest or painting numbers was even cool.

I was in awe.

She took her master bath from this….

.….and this.

I never missed a post.

I can remember reading about her new pillows in her living room when I was in the middle of the house renovation…..knee-deep in dust and wallpaper scraps and washing dishes in my bathroom sink.

She inspired me.

She lifted my spirits and made me smile and believe that one day I could sit in a living room with pillows and curtains and artwork and watch the sunbeams dance across the wood floors.

So thank you to the wonderful, incredible, inspirational Melaine.

I count my blessings that you write your blog.

I count my blessings that you and I have had coffee together for more mornings than I can count.

And I that I can call you friend.  :)

PS  Melaine is having a Joss & Main Sale on March 3!  I know you won’t want to miss it!
