I could stare at this room for hours.

Seriously.

Did you see the table?

And that hutch?

Really?

I was five seconds away from planting plastic flowers in my yard….until I saw this room and realized that….

….spring is on its way. :)

Cleverest idea in cyber space to store boots.

It’s kind of like the Taj Mahal for footwear.

Complete DIY instructions found….here.

Why?

Why didn’t I read this post before I ordered dozens of these from ETSY?

And what a perfect project for all the scrapbook paper you could never figure out what to do with.

  1. Happy Saturday to you too!! I think you should start your own dictionary — I like the word unwrinkled — you can’t always iron things out, you have to unwrinkled :-) Spring has to be springing — we’re changing to Daylight Savings Time this weekend ( big raspberry here). I can’t stand going back to dark in the morning. I don’t like going to bed when it is still light out and I can’t see any use whatsoever for it!! Please if the golfers of the world want to play until ten at night let them put lights on the golf course. (Sorry for venting, it’s a sore spot with me). Anyway, big hugs to you!!

  2. Empire library table and set of four vintage wood chairs in the basement? Check. Same paint colors in stash? Check. Word of the day: Serendipity. That means “copying ASAP.”

  3. My heart smiled at your Cinderella story- again too! All of your stories are worth a second and third read!:) Have a great weekend.

  4. I cry every time I read your dancing with Cinderella post. Thanks for posting about those medallions!! I got some awesome inspiration on how to use my Silhouette machine to make it even easier!

  5. Barbara Bussey :

I love the table and hutch! The chairs don’t work for me, but you know, there’s always one in the crowd! The pinwheels are a blast to make, but they require a very un -wrinkled day!
    Cheers!, Barbara

    • I agree about the chairs. I want chairs I and my guests will sit comfortably for a long visit over dinner or even a cup of coffee. Those look like the kind you take to watch a parade where you will be standing more than sitting. Or maybe they were just to make a nice picture.

  6. Jennifer Rizzo has my CHAIRS! I got two at a thrift shop a few years back and I have been looking for more since, she has the exact ones! I love them. I think you have a couple of them too. I remember seeing them in a post and commenting on them.
I do love that table she has with them too and good morning to you all.

  7. Just love the table and hutch. Love the white. You give me inspiration. Great idea for Boots and shoes storage. Love reading your Blog every day. Have a great weekend.

  8. Girl, I am taking on the day with my two nephews and one niece who are “cashing in” on the Christmas gift I gave them — baking cookies w/ Aunt Sal. Lining up all the goodies in my kitchen now… but LATER I am going to check out those time saving techniques — and all of the other links you shared. Have a good one! xo ~Sally

  9. You do realize that that glorious table is a LIBRARY table? ;) love, love, love. Sigh. I need that in my parlor. And yes, I’m ending my recliner and coffee time reading up on how to get more done . . . Thanks for the gentle push!

    Happy Saturday, sweet girl!

  10. Karianne that video was beautiful. I can only imagine how special it was for you to hear your husband sing it to your daughters.

  11. Love the table and hutch….Oh how I wish they were in my house…..that’s not happening so I will continue to stare at the pic…..Thanks for all your helpful information…..Happy Saturday to you….Hope your weather is as nice as ours is today….

  12. Stephanie Ray Brown :

I love your post especially your Cinderella story.. it made my heart smile too. Have a super Saturday!

  13. I have a grandson who has three precious little girls ages 5 to almost 2 (in May). He plays the guitar and sings with a group of doctors (he is a nurse) and I had never heard this song before and I am going to insist he learn to play it and sing to his daughters. It’s absolutely beautiful and gave me chills and brought tears to my eyes. Me, being a great grandmother realizes how quickly those years go by and what a tribute! Thanks and I love your posts. By the way, I’m in southern Indiana, not too far from Louisville. Thistlewood Farms is in Kentucky, right?

  14. Sheryll & Critters. :

    Forget the decor……..

Jump that love of your life and put this blog on hold. Ask him if I am not right?

    Just do itl

  15. Oh you’re so funny …5 seconds away from planting plastic flowers in your yard. Yep I already clicked on the time savings time post! Bwahaha Oh my gosh all my boxes and boxes of unused scrapbook paper…:holds head in hands:

  16. …. make the bed?
Oohhhhhh [whine] I even start the day wrong.
Hitting the ground running is evidently not on the list. I guess I’ll have to learn to circle back and…
    make the bed.

I love you for everything else on this page, even the plastic flowers. (I have a herd of deer in my back field).
    But make the bed….

  17. Oh yeah…that table…wow!! And those crates…if only I could find some that didn’t cost an arm & a leg!
    Debbie :)

  18. While I do love looking at that table and chairs in the above pic, I don’t think I’d love sitting in those chairs. The way the backs lean so far back, and just being a wood seat, they do not appear comfortable. But the look is lovely… [Says she who is sitting in her extremely comfortable, steal-of-a-craigslist-deal, Restoration Hardware slipcovered parsons chair. ;) ]

  19. Regardless how bad things may sometimes seem, I beg of you, please never plant plastic flowers in the yard! Ever. ;o) I have been seriously looking at purchasing a new home, but I don’t know if I can live in the one I like b/c the neighbor across the street has plastic flowers, and I’m not sure if I could live with seeing that every day.

  20. Hi Dear,
just found you and fall in love. What a nice and bretty corner in the www!
    Beautiful
    Have sunny spring days
