Hello friend.

It’s Saturday….and it’s cold.

Brrrrrrr……

Need a little summer?

Check out this house tour from Cedar Hill Farmhouse.

It made me feel like sunshine and green grass was just a glass of sweet tea away.

Are you a Downton Abbey fan?

Me, too.

Did you see the look on Bates’ face last week?

Ummmm….yikes.

Here’s a fun web site devoted to all things cooking and Downton Abbey.

Like Downton Abbey Ham and Eggs.

or Downton Abbey Asparagus and Feuillets.

Totally not sure what a feuillet is….but I’m sure it’s delicious. :)

Do you ever talk to your house?

I completely understand.

Kelly does too….and she has the best conversations.

About life and vaulted ceilings and wide plank floors and red kitchens and being content with what you have.

You can read her conversation….here.

I’m trying to be more organized.

Trying being the optimal word.

Thanks Jessica’s pantry for inspiring me this week.

And just in case you missed it….I started a forum this week.

And each and everyone of you inspired me.

I loved hearing your love stories and your decorating questions and your blogging questions and seeing your pets and drinking coffee together…..

….and becoming friends.

If you haven’t stopped by yet….we would love to have you join us.

Happy random Saturday to you. :)

  3. Karianne! Happy Saturday and THANK you for including my post. Relieved and thrilled that I have found my ‘peeps’ – people who ‘get’ talking with your house! Off to visit the other site & people you highlighted.

Do come by & put in an entry or two to win the beautiful handmade necklace created by my dear friend, artist, entrepreneur, mom, garden and all around wonderful person, Jill Fagin of Jillery. Isn’t she clever? Jill naming her jewelry design company Jillery! Oh and, she talks to her house too!

    Thanks again xo

  4. Your first photo helped but it’s still winter and snowing as I look out of my window…Thanks for trying..Happy Saturday

  7. Happy Saturday to you too! Thank you for giving me more places to go snoop! Shhhhh! I’ll be the one with the trench coat, sunglasses and fedora hat. You don’t think they’ll notice me, do you? :-)

  8. I would say Anita’s photograph of the gorgeous bed in the fields of blue bonnets is iconic!….so gorgeous…great pantry too…Have a great weekend!

  9. The picture from Cedar Hill makes me sooo ready for Spring! I love Anita’s blog. I hope you are having a good weekend:)

  10. Sheryll & Critters. :

Feuilletes are puff pastry cases that are generally filled with meat, vegetables or seafood. They can be either square, rectangular, triangular or diamond-shaped.

Oh my gosh on that bedspread….. I have made a few just like it….. with lightweight broadcloth……. but with heavy linen or even drop cloth…… oh heaven don’t make me have to pull it around and much less wash and dry one! I have tried some of this and it was not fun. Real linen is a wrinkled, heavy mess…….. well if you have the money…. why the heck not?

  11. Yes, yes, yes! That face, oh that face! Bates’ face! I cannot wait to see what happens tonight!!! He is not the kind of man one should mess with!

  12. AH Summer………Just coming out of a Blizzard here in the Northeast, I for one, looking forward to Summer. Have a great day.

  13. What beautiful inspiration on this cold morning!!

  14. Oh the blue bonnets look so good and the bed to lay around read and have tea. What a wonderful way to spend a Saturday afternoon. Thanks for sharing.

  15. Downton . . . Oh. My. Goodness. Must check to forum to see what everyone is saying since last night!

And yes, I talk to my house. Not as much as I talk to the fax machine at work, but I talk NICER to my house. :)
